KFC Shakin’ Shakin
The idea came directly from the product itself: it gets better when you shake it, so we built a campaign around that simple truth.
Using a phone’s accelerometer and a mobile web browser, we created an interactive ad that became more entertaining with every shake. The more people physically shook their phones, the more the story evolved. And once they’d given it their best shake, they were rewarded with a coupon to try the product in-store.
The campaign generated more than 5 million shakes from 1 million views and achieved a coupon redemption rate of over 60%, making it the most successful interactive mobile ad campaign in KFC’s history.
